About Ebony Lewis 

Ebony Lewis is an author, speaker, and advocate with a deep passion for empowering youth, particularly girls and boys of color. She is the author of the acclaimed books Dear Black Boy: It’s Okay to Cry and Dear Black Girl: I See You, which inspire self-love, resilience, and confidence in young readers.

Through her company, E Inspires LLC, Ebony delivers transformative workshops, keynote speeches, and programs centered on youth development, mental health awareness, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her work has impacted schools, nonprofits, and community organizations, fostering spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and valued.

Ebony also works at Milwaukee Public Schools in an equity-based department focused on creating inclusive environments for all students.

A proud member of TEMPO Milwaukee and a recipient of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award, Ebony has been recognized as a leader in her community. She serves on the boards of Hear WI, RedGen, and PEARLS for Teen Girls, contributing her expertise and passion to initiatives that uplift and support youth.

Ebony’s mission is to create a world where every young person is empowered to embrace their unique identity, overcome challenges, and unlock their full potential. Whether through her books, company, or community work, she continues to champion change and inspire the next generation.
